Lanai Accommodations
Ever since its days as a Dole plantation drew to a close, Lanai has lured travelers seeking a bygone, off-the-beaten-path Hawaii. This no-stoplight island has just two hotels, but what Lanai lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality, not to mention the greatest luxury of all: seclusion.
On the island’s south side, The Four Seasons Resort Lanai overlooks pristine Hulopoe Bay, a marine preserve with protected tide pools ideal for snorkeling and swimming.
The 1930s-era Hotel Lanai is a charming in-town hideaway and an affordable alternative to the island’s resorts. Originally built as lodging for Dole executives, the property now has 11 guest rooms and an esteemed restaurant, the Lanai City Grille.
