With its inviting Pacific waters and 750 miles of coastline, water sports are simply a way of life in Hawaiʻi. The Hawaiian Islands are the birthplace of modern surfing and stand-up paddleboarding, and you can experience both while you’re here – either on famous surf beaches like Waikīkī and Hoʻokipa Beach, or at tournaments like Duke’s OceanFest and the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. On dry land, Hawaiʻi’s lush golf links host some of the most legendary names in the game, and three PGA golf tournaments call the Hawaiian Islands home. Marvel at the elite triathletes that compete in the iconic IRONMAN Triathlon each fall, or see if you can go the distance at the Honolulu, Kauaʻi or Maui marathons.
