Ahaaina Wailea, A Grand Wailea Luau

In ancient Hawaii people would gather and feast for many an occasion; to celebrate the arrival of royalty, to herald the changing of seasons, or just to relish in the delights of life, family, and friends. They would call this gathering filled with traditional foods, music, and hula an Ahaaina. Over time, the name ahaaina fell out of use, becoming replaced with the term luau, referencing the leaf of the taro plant found on many of the dishes served at an ahaaina. Today, on the shores of Wailea, we harken back to an earlier time when true names and authentic Hawaiian hospitality ruled the land. We welcome you to experience Ahaaina Wailea, A Grand Wailea Luau.
