Hawaiʻi Scenic Byways

Hawaiʻi’s Scenic Byways are more than just beautiful: they have a story to tell. These roads were selected for their archaeological, cultural, historic, natural, recreational and/or scenic significance. In 2009, Hawaiʻi joined the National Scenic Byways Program has part of an international effort to maintain the roadside treasures that define our past, present and in many ways, our future.
