Hānai 'āina Conservation Workday - 3rd Thursdays

This is a unique chance to be a part of the Waimea Valley Volunteer Team and help care for this sacred valley. Participants will be going on an exclusive hike up to the central ridgeline called Kalāhe‘e and will spend the day helping the conservation team care for the native forest land. The day begins promptly at 9am with a 45 minute hike up the ridge. The group will return to the valley floor and complete the day at 3pm. Tasks may include: planting native species, invasive species control, mulching, and other related tasks. Participants must commit to the entire time specified above. Due to the remote location and the need for a hiking guide, leaving early is not an option.
