Art Lunch At The Hawaii State Art Museum With Lloyd Kumulaau Sing And May Haunani Balino-sing
Lloyd Kumulaau Sing and May Haunani Balino-Sing will share their knowledge of Hawaiian basketry and explain how the elemental forces of Ku and Hina are present and prevalent in the cultural practice of ie weaving.
Art Lunch at HiSAM is a monthly 'meet the artist" lecture series that takes place on the last Tuesday of each month. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch or buy lunch at Artizen (HiSAM's cafe, also on the first floor) to eat during the lecture.
The Hawaii State Art Museum galleries will be open. Admission is always free. 12 noon to 1 p.m.
